UPDATE: We have now CLOSED apps to this event. Spots just filled up faster than I thought they would.

We're still looking at emails about it, but only from members of this forum.

The eclipse was really cool to watch. We still got about 90% of it up in NW Washington. The family in Oregon said it was spectacular. Don't know if you guys down south saw any of it.

i saw 99.5 percent. my mom lives 45 miles north of me and i should have gone there to her house. she got 2 and a half minutes of totality. she sent me an awesome picture.

i had some of the solar safe glasses. i leaned back in a lawn chair and watched the corona disappear and run around the outer edge of the moon like a lit dynamite fuse. i was fucking stunned.

I took a trip 35 miles north to a coworkers home. Got 2min 15sec of totality, one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Edit...once I figure out how to add pics again since photof*cket sucks balls I will.

It was good. I drove 800 lbs. of gear from Auburn, WA to Magone Lake, OR and we spent a few days watching DVD's on the 32" Samsung and blasting out tunes on the stereo. We waited for the eclipse all weekend. I thought the rangers would show up after the first night. Everyone camped below wondered how we did all that without a generator blasting. Let's just say deep cycle battery tech has gotten better in the last few years.

I don't do those photo programs linking to pics on the internet much. To see those about our trip, you would have to inquire by email. One guy drove up from San Jose, another was a reporter for ABC based in Portland. He was on vacation all the way. We had a lot of fun, viewed the eclipse from 6,000 feet at an abandoned quarry, and I made it home safely. My next trip is to Goober Pond, Mason County, WA between September 15-18.

What can I say? We do crazy stuff around here.
