Been working on this truck almost non stop for quite a few weeks and, quite honestly was getting a little burnt out on it. However, nothing like a great mini truck show and people seeing what you been busting your but on for the 1st time and getting a lot of great response to get a person back motivated. Even though my truck is still loaded on the trailer from The Heritage show yesterday, today I began removing stuff under the hood preparation for the clean up /smoothing of the engine bay & the v8 swap. Pics will follow as I make some progress.

About down and out from sinus trouble but got everything unhooked & unbolted except the motor mounts and torque converter bolts before I had to quit for tonight. Hope to feel better tomorrow so I can finish getting the KA outta there.

Made an absolute mess pulling the motor and transmission together by myself but, got them out of there tonight. Pressure wash coming up and then I'll get to see about getting the v8 in.

Cut to fit plug wire set came in today. Hope to see the distributor maybe Wednesday. Got what was left of the wiring out of the engine bay. Welded up and ground smooth 6-7 holes in one of the inner fenders. Began making patterns to smooth up the sides around the wheel tubs. Short day in the garage but got a little accomplished.

Did/Are you moving the battery or does it still fit on the pass fender? I want to do inner fenders this winter but don't know if I can be arsed to relocate the battery haha... Need some sort of motivation on this thing, still early though...

The battery can and would still fit although I'm moving it under the bed for a cleaner engine bay.

Beyond the point of no return now, cut off and ground smooth both the motor mounts that were welded to the frame. Got all the little holes welded up on the drivers side inner fender as well tonight.

All holes (except on that I still need to make a patch for) welded up, smoothed and a little filler put on.

While the filler was curing, got one of the patterns made for the inner fender.
