Default 1997 Pickup. 2WD. 14" stock wheels to 15" for snowtires. What works?

I have a 1997 D21. 2WD. Stock.

Currently have P215/75R14.

The little infoplate by the truck door says rims are 14x6. I thank that's the critical part, correct?

What would fit that? i was hoping that something like rims from 1997-8 Pathfinder or something similar in the Nissan family would work. The door tag on the 1997-8 says the rims are 15X7.0

What fits is what I'm asking......

The second part is asking about what are good snow/winter tires?

Thanks

You can use any pathfinder or frontier wheel up to 2004. Anything 2005 or later won’t work.

I passed on a CL $200 15" Pathy set that look similar to my 2wd set. I'm an idiot!

If it were mine, I'd put the biggest tires on it that would fit.

At 215/75-15, or thereabouts, you can start putting on LT tires, and they come in an all terrain pattern. BFG makes that size.

I'd do some measuring and see what is the same size. I have no idea what will fit. I can tell you, stock offset is important and you can get a much bigger tire on w/the stock rims than you can otherwise.

Not sure what you are trying to gain...but the only real advantage to a 15 is availability. 14s are sorta going the way of the dodo bird. Did you have to special order your tires? There is not a wide selection at the dealers.

I have 15" rims from an '86 on my 720 w/205/70=15s on the front and 215s on the back (pretty much anything will fit on the back).

Default Frontier 15s

Here is what my 93 looks like with 15inch 99 Frontier rims. I cannot advise on snow tires.
