Bicycle store. I hadn't thought of that.

The same thing happens with motorcycle throttle cables. Changing out handlebars is pretty common, then the owners are faced with finding throttle cables that fit.

the only issue is the sheath that bike cables ride in isnt rubber or very thick. so heat might be a problem. but if it works, it works. so....meh.

Cycling cable is a little different. Also the housing is different between shifter and brake cable. I believe brake cable has a metal liner. The whole thing collapses as you break it in too. Part of the break in process which is why you are told to bring it back in for a tune up soon. Triflow makes that stuff butter smooth too.

Man I have broken so many bicycle and lawnmower type cables it's not even funny. Great stuff, here's to a regular and uneventful startup. Still looking forward to the teardown of the old one.

It runs! And I totally forgot to take a video. Battery was super dead and it barely could turn it over. On fourth crank it fired right up and idles like a champ. Needs more timing. Need to bleed the clutch.

Struggling to get the diff back in. Any tips?

It was super anticlimactic. It just fired up and ran like nothing ever happened. It was stupid smooth. To the point I almost had to look at the tach to see it was running.

Still need to bleed the clutch, tighten the motor mounts (took them loose for more clearance for the diff), confirm timing and get that stupid diff back in. Found I really need to level headlights too.

That's good. It means you did it right.
