Default Made my own leaf spring pack... FRANKEN-LEAFS!

I've been running stock leafs, with an 'add a leaf' (for extra load capacity and camper shell) with 4" angled blocks, and leaf clamps to keep the overoad leaf from scooping up small children and manhole covers. this got me the ride height I wanted, but was extremely stiff, and I got some noticeable axle wrap under heavy accel...

Stiff is ok, but I do not like using drop blocks for spirited driving-

these are the stock springs with the added leaf.

I bought a used set of Belltech drop leafs from Lower Byhalia with hopes of doing away with the blocks and raising the bottom of my leafs so they don't risk scraping.
The Bell'ies have a mono leaf with eyes and a shorter leaf, and no overload.
the also have some cut leaf shims to lower another few cm.

The Belltech leafs lowered the truck another 2".
However, they were so soft, that the leafs were actually bowing 'upward' under the truck's weight. the axle would bang the frame and exhaust HARD under slight acceleration !!! large bumps were a white-knuckled ride in the air! Shocks blew almost immediately (oem. I planned to replace with drop shocks anyway)

NO GOOD.

So, I decided to assemble my own leaf pack.

I removed and disassembled both packs.

-I took the mono leaf from the Belltech's
-added the secondary leaf from the stock pack (which added a lot of arch)
-flipped the secondary from the BT pack upside down and added it on top (which de-arched the pack)
-added the stock overload leaf to the bottom of the pack
-added the leaf shims to the top
-used large C clamps and bench vise to compress all leafs
-used a new center bolt from belltech to secure all leafs together
-used the rivet clamps on both secondaries to secure the leaf pack ends (and BIG F*CKING HAMMER)

Installed with Belltech 6 deg. pinion shims (i was getting bad vibration under partial throttle at around 40mph)

Installed everything with Energy Suspension Poly Bushings

RESULT:
-no more bottoming out.
-much stiffer ride than the Belltech's alone, but more forgiving than the clamped oem pack
-no more axle wrap
-same ride height
-leafs and u-bolts are not so close to the ground.
-max hauling capacity achieved
-Me = mo happy
