Default DS/PS shocks?

Admittedly I donít know a whole lot but this is the first time Iíve run across this. In the next couple three months Iím going to be taking the bed off when I Durabak the entire truck. I thought since I have the bed off it would be easier to change the rear shocks. So Iím trying to get all my pieces parts together before I start the project and went shopping for shocks. Pretty well set on the KYB ExcelóG but noticed on one website they listed a DS front, PS front, DS rear and PS rear but others donít mention anything about the difference.
Is there a difference?

Interesting. Were they the same price? All I buy is KYB. Never noticed.

This CaRId the only site I see that suggest a difference.
Click on it and click on the shock when it says product options I picked rear wheel drive and extended cabAnd it brought up my choices

DS. Driver side

PS. Passenger side

Same price. It is likely the same shock as this site chose to break it down this way

it says Driver or pass. side so they are the same, plus they are the same part number.

I just replaced all my shocks with those and I like them, they are also cheaper from rockauto, use the 5% discount code to save a little more

Someone is just being too anal with their catalog. There are front and rear shocks, no difference between left and right.

Never even noticed the same part number good eye.

I will go with RockAuto and thereís a rebate on the shocks.

Thanks guys.
Maybe the catalog writer got paid by the word.
