Bought new May, 28th 1988 for $20,517 at Ray Brandt Nissan in Harvey, LA.

In today's dollars that's equal to $43, 829 (Wow, not cheap.) OK $4,700 was interest on the loan.

WOW! Look at that finance charge: $4700 is almost 1/4 of the total loan.

Damn banks.

Interest rates were then at about 11% for a mortgage. Auto loans were obviously much higher. Maybe in the neighborhood of 15% or higher.

I paid 14.5% on my new 1989 Nissan truck. Only because I had no credit at the time and it was under a first time buyer program.

That's the South end of St. Petersburg right? It's a nice area. Really enjoy the dog beach at Fort DeSoto Park.

The fishing here should be getting better this time of year. So far I hooked a mullet, it was a fun catch.
