Default New From Utah

I've purchased an old 1997 Nissan Hardbody in need of repairs. I don't have a lot of experience fixing cars so its a learning experience for me.

So far I've replaced the clutch and it was quite the experience, the transmission was seized/rusted onto the engine and took me forever to get off. I ended up putting three bolts back into the bell housing to the engine, a nut in between the engine and the transmission, and used a wrench to turn on the nuts and forced the transmission off. It came off it a cloud of rust lol. After following instructions and putting it all back together it works!!

Next, I have to look into why the 4wd isn't working, the engine loses power after only 3/4 RPMs and replace the fuel tank, it has a hole. I'm following-up with other basics like changing the fuel filter, changing the oil filter, spark plugs and anything else I can find. Depending on how things go I'm debating taking the whole thing apart and start removing rust from everywhere!

Looks like this will be a good place to communicate with other like-minded people!
