No, then they would say 16" and 18" OAL. Often with a shorter barrel, 14.5" they will call it 16" because of a pinned flash hider and due to it being pinned or welded it counts for overall length. I have 16" barrels that range from 16-20" due to the flash hider/brake. Its kind of a weird one. Some places will specify while others will not. I would trust if it says 16" then it is at least 16" and may or may not include the flash hider/brake. Best bet is to ask the seller.

I have an M1A, and with the 18" version, they mean 18" of barrel. Even on guns with a permanently attached flash suppressor I generally see it presented as 12+4 or 14.5+2 rather than 16". Not saying it doesn't happen, but generally speaking when companies advertise barrel length they don't include muzzle devices, since muzzle devices are only considered "barrel" by the ATF.

i got an email today telling me that the shipment from hera arms was delayed. i could either wait until the estimated delivery date of aug 19, get a refund or substitute the hera arms rail with the cbc industries version. all options come with a 10% discount on any future order, including sale items.

i opted for the substitute. hope it doesnt disappoint. they say it will ship within 72 hours.

I've seen it a lot. Even top end companies like POF have advertised as 16" barrels then if you read closer its 16" OAL with a pinned brake. Even seen it on PSA. It's not uncommon. Saw it at the Tulsa OK show, saw it Mississippi, Nevada and here in Oregon done that way. I always look for clarification as 14.5 pinned to 16" is perfectly legal without stupid paperwork and it feels a lot shorter than 16" with a brake. Can't really say no one when I have seen it across the country and on widely used retailers.

my upper arrived last saturday. i went and bought a bore sight and set the scope. took it out sunday and ran about 200 rounds through her, and i got it so hot i couldnt hold it......then i went to the AK.

i was in an open field shooting about 100 to 200 feet at a big pine stump. its pretty accurate. i wont really know until i go to a range. im impressed. the 223 cases were flying out straight at 3 maybe 330 from my standing position.

in all my haste to shoot it, i never took a picture. i will get one. and the hydraulic buffer is so smooth. no jumping around and it slows the action down enough between shots to make the follow up shot much smoother and quicker.

i never thought about it, but when it came..i realized i didnt order any sights. so, what i did was ordered a set of rugers flip ups, and since its a keymod rail, i also ordered two small sections of rails so i can add them to the right side of the rifle.

so i have the scope on top (bushnell 3x9x40) and i can rotate it sideways to deploy the iron sights if i want.

my stepson recorded a video of me shooting the AK, with a little burst fire at the end......and right when the video starts, you can see my AR laying in the bed of my truck.
