Default Need help on swapping newer motor into 1991

So i do not know the year of the newer hardbody yet but i do know it is a round dash i would like to know if its just a direct swap or what will need to be changed to work in the 1991 Also would it the newer transmission work in the 1991

Im trying to swap motors from a 95-97 to a 1991 (i dont know the year of my parts truck yet) I wanna know if everything just plugs up or will i need parts off the old motor

The newer KA24e engine will have more emissions ports. Just plug those or route the plumbing to match your old engine.

So i found out my truck is a 1993 my parts truck is a 1994 should the engines be any different?

I hope im spending most of my money on these trucks and hoping for the best. Anything i should look for while i have the engine pulled out?

You should not have any problem spending most of your money on one of these trucks.



Keep an eye out for leaking seals. My truck has the V6, though. The guides wear out on the KA24E engine. You could pull the valve cover off to see what kind of shape the donor engine is in while the engine is out.

Didnt think of pulling the valve cover but leaking seals is a priority
