Default What is this part on the Fuel Pump Assembly?

I need to get a new Fuel Temperature Sensor but what I need to know is what does it plug into as I need a new one. A new one did not come with the Fuel Pump Assembly. You can see in pic the Temp Sensor pugs into item circled in Red. Found pic on another site but answer was not given. Second pic, you can see where it plugs into.

Seems to me that circled part would be the fuel temperature sensor, but I've never found more information on it either and I've never disassembled mine.

If you disassemble yours, take lots of pictures to post up.

I have talked to the dealership and searched the hell out of the internet and it appears to be the low fuel sensor. The Fuel Temp sensor plugs into the low fuel sensor and that plugs into the fuel pump assembly at the top. You can still get the Fuel Temp Sensor but not the low fuel sensor. I have found a New Fuel Tank Level Gauge Sender Unit MB571603 Fit for Mitsubishi Montero Pajero for $12 that I will splice the sensor into the old one that I have.
