Default Need new tires

Looking for the best deal on a set of tires 195 75 R14. Just want to do stock tires for now. My budget needs a good price so I can leave room for the alignment.
What about the WalMart Douglas tires?

Discount Tire has tires starting at $41 each , you may want to check them as well.

Why do you need new tires? Those look like good tread. If you're worried about funky wear, fix the alignment, and the tires should wear themselves back into shape.

i buy mine from discounttiredirect.com and they are the same size. i get the hankooks and they are about 70 bucks each. very good tire.

but back to the brand your asking about........i read somewhere that the douglas line of tires are made by goodyear exclusively for walmart.

when i got my truck, all 4 tires were like that. they blew one at a time over 3 weeks. im lucky one of them didnt blow and destroy the quarter fender on the bed.

i use discounttiredirect.com because of the warranty certificates they sell with each tire. its optional, but stop and think about this a second.........over the lifetime of a set of new ties, you almost always end up with a flat. sooner or later it happens.

the certificates they sell cover unrepairable damage to the tire, like a sidewall puncture. i had a screwdriver (it was my own screwdriver so dont ask how) puncture a hole a half inch in the sidewall up from the tread, right in the curve of where the tread and sidewall meet. wasnt able to be repaired. i called discount tire, told them what happened, and all they asked me to do was pay 8 dollars for another replacement certificate for the new tire they shipped. they didnt even want the old one. the certificates have the tire serial number on them so you cant fool them. sometimes they send a label for you to send the old tire back to them. you never know when they will ask for that though.

so they get all my business, except for walmart when they have black friday tire sales. i got two new goodyears for the lexus in 2015 from a black friday sale. 100 bucks plus tax out the door for a tire that normally sells for damn near 100 bucks by itself.

Discount has a Labor Day sale.

I've been buying from Discount since I put a set of Centerlines on my first Hardbody in '96.
