Makes you want to stop and ask, "WTF is taking you so damn long???"

Doesn't it?

Of course, that prolly wouldn't do much for the quality of service you're going to get.

Pictures are still uploading to imgur along with a video I made to show how easy it is to read codes off an ECU like mine - I don't know how to get the codes off your older trucks (1989 and older).
did you install new carpet?

Mine has vinyl floors.

That guy who sells the new carpet also sells new vinyl floors, and I looked at it a few weeks ago but didn't get it. I was mentally kicking myself in the butt for that one, because what I put back in there was nasty!

It is quieter going down the road, though. The road noise is definitely coming from the doors now. When my new door panels arrive, I'll stick some of that stuff inside there, too.

Removed the bezel around the radio and HVAC controls, removed the radio, re-mounted the radio to the kit better so the radio isn't sticking a half inch past the kit.

Cleaned behind the gauge cluster trim, removed the center vents. Plastic polished the radio bezel and gauge cluster bezel, polished the ash tray, removed the metal piece above the ash tray, wire wheeled the rust off and repainted black.

Took a big chunk out of my left thumb trying to remove a pin from a connector, later found the chunk of skin still inside the metal pin ! OUCH !

I got bored watching TV and since the truck is not running or driveable yet, been messing around with little things.

Updates on my transmission swap from this weekend.

Engine and transmission fully bolted together!!

Slave cylinder is bolted into place.

Getting the rear mount installed.

Newer style steering wheel.

And to stand back and soak the whole project in again since it's been so long I threw the grille on to inspire myself.

Making progress even if totally slow.

Saw the transmission on the floor in the garage and said to myself "I should put it on a bench and start tearing it apart" then I went inside
