I pulled the headliner material off.
once the weather warms up, and the truck is on the road, i'll look at recovering it.

On my '98, the cardboard was still OK after I pulled the drooping fabric off. I was hoping to take the cardboard out to recover, but was afraid the plastic in the rear of the cab would be too brittle. So I just spray pained my cardboard, in place.

too late now but when dealing with rodent waste like that you should take precautions from Hantavirus.
We have to be trained on it where I work.

Maybe the sun was heating the top of the truck enough for it to be warm for a nest.
