Cant wait to hear mine when I get it done. My motor is a little more HP than your crate motor. Engine builder said it sets at about 290hp right now, after headers, Edelbrock dual plane intake, electronic ignition and other bolt on, mine should be about 325hp when all is said and done.

Bought the truck a garage buddy yesterday

1972 Chevy Nova - 250ci power glide sedan (sorry for the tiny pic - CL ad is deleted and she is currently in an enclosed trailer.)

Dirty and some rot in the corners of the body panels but all the major structure is there. Has too many doors to make it worth anything but will make a great sleeper with an LS and Chinese turbo one of these days (sloppy!) - but it is complete and solid for the most part. Couple hundo doll hairs well spent.

Plans for now are to get it cleaned up and running. May end up with a 350 my uncle has taking up room in his shop for now until I can get all the LS parts together.

Yea, I know... but its funny how 2 extra doors bring the price down to something I can afford on my shoestring project budgets

Besides that - nobody messes with the sedans, I just want to roll on my buddy with a coupe for 1/2 the $$$

Whats funny though is ya dont see too many 4 door novas in those year models either. And yes it brings the price down tremendously.

Add that its a freaking hoopty and it was taken home for $400 haha - clean title, major structure (subframes, main body, trunk, inner fenders, trunk drops/wheelwells) are all in great shape - just some rot in the body sheetmetal. Even got it to run with some gas down the carb and the radio works!

Needs floor patches driver/pass front - nothing to crazy but its all but Flintstones at the moment (which may be a good thing as the brakes aren't working haha)

I had gone back and forth between crew cab nova and a g-body wagon. The wagons are on the uptick as far as price goes over the last couple years and are pretty rare. Even a big body 70's wagon would have fit the bill but they are rare and $$$ or just total rot boxes with no parts available.

Trucks going to hangout for the foreseeable future - but I needed more space for kids (burnouts are more fun with a cheer section in the back seat) and want something I can take to the track.
