Default 91 Pathfinder/Terrano - in small scale!

Been wanting to get one of these Aoshima kits for a while, so I finally did. Price was fairly reasonable from HobbyLink Japan and shipping only took about 3 days.
Inside the Box
Upon opening the box, one is greeted by about 6 trees of parts, including parts to build as either left or right hand drive, as well as chrome or Lego wheels. Decals include only Terrano badges, but has a decal for the instrument cluster and inclinometer. Window masks are also included.

I have noticed that the seat backs are molded open. That will be corrected during the build.

Thinking of doing it in AH3 Cherry Pearl, but can't decide on interior color. Trying to find references showing color combinations with that exterior color.

Suggestion: Find some PICs, inside and out, of a REAL truck you like..... and try to match it.

Already doing that with the red for Hector. Want to make this a factory curbside (no engine) kit.

Plan on (almost) duplicating Hector when I find one of the AMT/Lindberg D21 kits that's not as much as a REAL truck.

Today's work on the mini Pathy: Wet sanded the body after a coat of gray primer and decided to use Bare-Metal Foil to chrome the bumpers.

What I thought was a sag in the primer on the driver's door was apparently a sag in the plastic itself.
They're not perfect, but it looks better than painting them "chrome".

Models and computers are my stress reliever, as well as working on my truck on my days off.

Chassis and suspension painted semigloss black and Legos painted aluminum. Didn't notice the fine mold seam on the front of those wheels until painted. May have to sand slightly and repaint those.
