When I was doing my suspension work I pulled the torsion bars. As I was getting that darn c clip I heard a ping. Ive been looking for that clip since then. I even pulled the weeds in the neighbors yard looking for the darn thing.

Yea C-clip installed. Now time for that Alignment. Then my work on the front end is completed. Off to the next thing. Perhaps a upgraded torsion bar LOL. I can use a new radio and speakers....

Yep, I lost one myself this past year. Had a transaction with the dealer as well.

The rear end of my torsion bar sits flush with the crossmember, but on the other side it hooks around and through the cross member, do i need new torsion bars?

Make sure the one side is fully seated in the lower control arm. I have seen many posts of people not seating them all the way and having them strip out the splines.

I have had new heavy duty torsion bars that i need to replace on my '86 1/2 4x4 hardbody. I've looked at all the manuals and it looks fairly straight forward, but you know how that goes. The bolts face up on 4 wheel drives for some reason.
