Default Replacing fuel pump on a d21 that sat for 3 years

Hello all.I have a 1994 d21 standard cab pickup truck with the 2.4 engine.This truck sat for 3 years and I just dropped the gas tank and the pump was shot .The screen was stuck to the bottom of the tank.now that I have the tank cleaned out and going to put in new pump Should the fuel lines be cleane out or should I just put the pump in the tank fill it up with gas and cross my fingers .Thank you

I would clean the lines out with some alcohol or something like that and some compressed air.
