no one says it hast to be that far back. theres enough space to plub the turbocharger in like just aft of the front wheel. would kill a lot of the "distance" issues. I think as always the biggest issue is our dumb throttlebody setup

i agree, however i am balls deep in the 240sx intake swap lol, didnt wanna weld up a 90 to my stock tb. plus- pretty intake....

If you go with a bottom mount manifold you’ll get the pretty header effect you were mentioning and make heat management around sensitive parts way easier. Or ditch your AC and mount a centrifugal supercharger where the compressor used to sit and go with whatever header you like, that would be hot.
