Those pods look sick! Stereo and speakers are on my list once my truck is roadworthy and all the mechanical issue are worked through. I haven't decided yet whether I will take advantage of the 94 dash and put in a double din deck, and I have been thinking about component speakers for the doors but I do not want to hack up the door panels.

Anyone ever put any other speakers behind the seat besides a sub? If so, what size and where?

Thanks!

I put components in my truck and use the factory door panels. I just didn't put the grilles that came with the component kit on the woofers.

The tweets can be farther away as long as your midrange driver is playing at least up to 6khz. Normally tweets go up higher because they will bring the stage height up. If you notice in a lot of sq cars the midrange and tweet are up high in the a pillars. Thats because the midrange they use are usually wide range drivers that cover anywhere from 140hz all the way up to 6-10khz. By doing this the main frequencies we hear can be up high. Anything below 140 hz isn't localized meaning you can't really tell where it is coming from unless you can physically feel it. You could have a set of midrange drivers and tweets in front of you crossed over above 140 hz and a set of midbass drivers behind you crossed over below 140hz and you wouldn't be able to tell where there lower frequencies are coming from. Anything above around 6k can pretty much only be localized by intensity.

Where did you put the tweeters? In the doors too?
