Probably not an issue as there's plenty of room on that side of the engine bay. No idea why anyone would put headers on a stock KA though

There's plenty of room in the V6 engine bay, too. I don't know why they didn't adjust the headers to fit both 2wd and 4wd models - but they didn't.

Headers on a stock V6 only make it sound better.

I mean, there's supposed to be a performance gain. If there is, it's kind of hard to notice.

I don't think anything short of a full on swap will make a hardbody fast. Especially not a 4 banger.

I gotta disagree. Put on a turbo and do all the proper mods you got some decent horsepower.

My VG30i doesn't sound much different but it 100% has more get up and go especially at the top end. The get up and go could just be throttle response but it used to fall on its face at the top end, now it keeps pulling. For me and my rig headers are 100% worth it.

On a 4cyl, not sure. I do have a buddy putting 160hp at the wheels on a NA 22RE with headers, cams, intake and some other work. When I say cams its HUGE cam. It lopes and has to idle above 1500RPM.

Thanks for all the input so far. Not really looking to make a ton of power just trying to wake it up a bit. Figured full exhaust, a cam, and 240 intake manifold swap would do it for me.

I have a pacesetter. Had it about 10 yrs. My opinion is it was worth it. I also have the 240 cam, intake manifold and ecu. Love my truck and think its quick. I want to put some stockers on just to see cause the titans are heavy as shit.

opening up the exhaust is a balance trick, you need back pressure for low end, you take some of that away(open up the exhaust) and you have a better top end, depends on your needs/wants, but you also want to let more air in, like a CAI

I think there's enough back pressure no matter wat, its just about opening it up
