Default steering damper

I know next to nothing about my trucks front steering system, so bear with me.

I have power steering in my model, it is a 1991 model, 2wd.

Do i have a steering damper? Is there an easy way to check without getting it on a hoist?

It will be mounted on the centerlink if you do.

yah it looks like a standard shock damper. because it is.

with modern power assisted steering i dont see the need for these as the hydraulics tend to work against any sudden impact to steering. Also, having worked a parts counter for a few years you see these come back blown out constantly
