The 4wd VG holds less than 4 quarts.

So, the side to the air box has no PCV valve. The passenger side head to the manifold does. How does that work!?!?!?

both sides are linked internally/through hoses, one pcv valve is good for the entire engine

they are also linked by fact you have one crank case. PCV's are for blowby when cold or the rings are worn out. it over pressures the crank case, and can vent from just about anywhere. doesnt matter which bank has the vent, it will vent.

The bank without the valve goes to the air filter.

I dunno what mine actually limits at. My tach hasn't worked in about 4 years or so. When out doing donuts or slinging mud I'll hear it bouncing off the limiter if I get too rowdy with it.

It's not my DD though, so I don't have to worry /too/ much about breaking it.

before you attempt to change the PCV, go ahead and find a new PCV hose. yours will be hard as a rock and it will snap like a pretzel. i got mine for like 25 bucks from nissan parts zone or somewhere.

All my hoses are good and soft. PCV hose is stiff but looks to be by design.

Replaced the PCV and drained the oil. Havnt measure the oil yet but it was a decent bit that came out. Just kept going and going.

No oil in the PCV and that hose but some carbon deposits. Gonna do a compression test tomorrow. Not sure what else.

She normally doesn't need it. Usually check stuff every few weeks. My gauges are mechanical so they show what's going on very well.

No black spots in the coolant best I can tell. All vibrant radioactive green.
