You might want to paint over it. UV light degrades POR-15 and if the seal doesn't totally cover it, you may have to redo it again down the line.

Default junk yard score - one piece driveshaft!

Recently bought a 95 king cab V6 4x4. The terrible noise I thought might be the rear end turned out to be the carrier bearing. Good deal! Until I saw the prices they want for the carrier bearings!

Thanks to searching this site - I knew what Frontiers to look for to pull and one piece driveshaft. 5 junkyards in this general area and only one had any frontiers - both 2001's - a king cab and an extended cab. I took a chance and make the hour drive. Score! V6 crew cab (short box) still had the driveshaft in it!

Tested it in the truck before pulling the T-case last night. Perfect fit!

went to the yard last weekend. scored a ton of fuses and relays, a driver side headlight bucket, the gasket/cover that goes on the core support to cover the gap between the rad and the support, two king cab rear window weather seals and some knick knack plastic engine pieces for the lexus.

Just got back from the junkyard. I managed to score a cowl panel (mine flew off on the freeway a couple years ago), a couple relays and an OEM MAF sensor. Those things are usually the first thing stripped off of these and worth their weight in gold.

monday should be 70 percent off at most LKQ yards. i had to take a morning off wednesday to make an unplanned trip to the yard. the alarm on the lexus went ape shit about 11pm tuesday night, and the next day the trunk latch was fucked and it wouldnt shut.

im just lucky there was another LS400 that was added to the yard the previous friday and i robbed some stuff off the engine so i knew it had the trunk lid latch.

good thing....the mofo is over 300 bucks from lexus. what sucks besides the price is its all made of plastic.

Geez...their new sport model (Lexus) can run over 100 grand with the options. Hopefully, they put a STEEL latch on that model. Surprising that Lexus would go cheap on a trunk latch like that.

They were only 40% yesterday.

I scored some stuff yesterday but not much.
I hit my honey hole which isn't lkq owned. $110 I got 2 sets of arm rests, 2 ka valve covers, rear roll pan, honey comb grille, gbox latches, misc. motor parts, auto trans speed sensor, driveshaft carrier bearing bracket, and a shit load of small parts.
