Going with the new Michelin's, Defender T&H, the car came with H rated tires and the Continentals only come T rated, no my wife won't drive 130, she would if the car could but the guy at Discount was saying how the higher speed rating effects handling as well.

I stopped in the store on my way to the yard, don't know if the guy made a mistake with the price but it comes out less than if I do it on the website, and both figure out the door prices.

I got him to cut the TPMS rebuild kit price in half, told him I'm not paying $7 each for a piece of rubber, a valve stem, cap and a metal nut !

He was telling me they are required to rebuild them, I said go right a head but I'm not paying for them ! LOL

So instead of $28 it will be $14, plus they are giving me $69 back for the old tires and there is a $70 visa card rebate.

May take her car to work Thursday and have them done after work.

Today bought the new Michelin Defender T&H tires, got a good deal $123 each plus mounting/balancing, TPMS rebuild kits, they took $69 off for the old tires than the guy gave me $20 more off to come to his store (was going to go to the store that is closer to my house first).

Came out to $516.82 and I just completed the form online for the $70 rebate. So Actual cost was $446.82

And today the roofing company is redoing our roof, they are close to being done, started at about 8 this morning.

What the hell? So are they less noisy than the mud grips or not? Where is the review of these Michelin tires?

They are less noisy than what was on the car. Still get noise depending on road surface. Did a little research and found tire noise is a problem on the Mazda 3's. I guess they don't use enough insulation in the cabin area.

Old tires car was shaking pretty good at 80 MPH, they were wore down a lot though. New tires no shake had it up to 90 on the way home.

Can't review the tires any further as I only drove it in the dry for about 35 miles.

Need to have the CV axle replaced than an alignment. My wife hasn't even drove it yet.
