I might have something bad going on. Cylinder 1 doesn't look good. Going to try to borrow a bore camera tomorrow to confirm.

Man, I hope you figure it out. That truck is too clean to be down. I am sure everyone will agree when I say we will do anything we can to help you out.

What do you mean by 'cylinder 1 doesn't look good'? Can you specify more? That IS one hell of a nice Nissan you have there. And I think everyone would want to help you any way they can. Me included.

Don't know if this helps, but I know where a low-mileage Z24i in 4WD is parked. 86.5. It was a restoration done by a shop, and belonged to the shop owner's daughter. She deliberately rammed it into a telephone pole trying to kill herself. Radiator is trashed, so is frame to a degree, but looks like motor/trans are good. Sits out back of the shop, and was a beautiful truck before Miss I-Have-Issues did that to it. I have already bought seats, doors off it. No one knows parts on it are for sale except me. It's in Puyallup, WA.

I think all you are going to find is the Factory Service Manuals.

Link is in my signature.

Wiring is in the EL section (ELectrical).

I've never done it, but I do know how to search.

Cylinder #1 is far too clean and has a weird dark ring with a dark square spot in the middle. Going to try to see what it going on with a bore camera. It doesn't look right. #3 looks as expected. I couldn't hear it pushing air when turning the motor by hand. I grabbed a buddy and his dad that has plenty of building and drag racing experience and he had the same reaction as me. Kinda of a "WTF, that doesn't look right".

You probably dropped a nut down inside the cylinder. That black mark is where it's been hitting and knocking an indentation in your aluminum piston.
