That makes two of us. Buddy at the local wrecking yard scored me some pathy seats before it got crushed, but left tue bolts.. Looks like I will be pulling one to take to the hardware store to match up. Will let you know what size they are if someone does not answer before then.

You were asking about the seat belt bolts? I got the seat bolts as well.
I got tons of them.

I think M8x1.25 but you can take one of the bolts to lowes or the parts house and size it up.

Not hardened. That makes them brittle.

They are grade 8 bolts. not 8.8, those are different. if you need to know the head markings go to boltdepot.com and look it up. it will have 6 dash marks in a radial pattern on the head.

ONLY American made bolts are forced/governed to meet specific standards to call the product "grade ____"

observe the torque spec here too. long story short, the compression of the material between the bolt and nut carries the loads.

I know it uses a 12 MM socket to remove them to pull the seats out. I've done that about 6 times just to have room to pull the evap core from my truck.

the metric super grade is 12.9, with yeah, the size m8x1.25, i picked up a set from home depot in hex socket head with some relevant washers. they work pretty well. you can stick to regular old flange bolts too, if you want. just be sure to use some properly sized lock washers too.

12.9 is a little overkill but it wont hurt.

the closest equivalent metric to grade 8, without being lesser is class 10.9
