probably a dumb question, but i know little about hydros. although not smart, couldnt you cap the foot brake lines the go to the rear, and only have the foot brake up front, then use the rear brake lines for the hydro only?

You could but not recommended at all! 30% for yoir braking Is done in the rear brakes. You will lock up your front brakes and understeer into everything.

it seems like my brakes dont even effect my rear wheels in my truck

Just ordered a OBP 600mm (23'') hand brake with master cylinder gunna get some custom lines when it gets here.
