Default Little Red Ridding D21

Hello from TN....
Introducing the Little Red Ridding "D21"

Back Story on this little Red Truck...
An old man stopped in front of my driveway. I went out there to help him get going again. As I was over looking the truck, I noticed his passenger front wheel had an unbelievable amount of camber. Yet he pulled over for engine noise . I didn't say anything about the wheel, thinking he must know because he was standing in front of it. He started to take off and the wheel started grinding louder that a cat in heat. He stopped and asked did I here that. I showed him the wheel and he said in the most Hickish voice ever with a mouth full of tobacco, " ya rekon at's makn da noise right dere"?

We pulled it in my yard and after looking over it, the clip that holds the axle to the wheel hub broke . Thus grinding everything inside the manual locking hub to dust. Literally, there was nothing in there left but an empty shell.

To shorten this up, the old man being retired and on disability.....he didn't have the money for the repair so I bought it from him at NADA value to get him up and going again.

Now that the weather here in TN is starting to warm up, I figure its time to polish this red turd.

Got some time to work on it today. Got a list going for parts an things missing. Replace plugs and wires. Also I believe a head job is in order, there is a rattle and I believe it's coming from the valves. I'll post up pictures once I figure out how from the phone

Alright, got some pics....

i notice some things are missing on the right hand side of the bay. i'm assuming windshield washer reservoir and maybe air box?

Beside updateing the seat, the only repairs that need done in the interior is the door handle, as can be seen in the pic...it's um....in need of some repair....any thing on this forum about that?

[IMG][/IMG]

Changed out the plugs and while two of them were no concern the back two, looked like they were fouled out. i'll run the new plugs for a week and pull them to see what they look like

And that's it for tonight...

Today's goals:
Pull the seats & clean the carpet
Pressure wash the undercarriage and engine
Pull the valve cover and check out the rockers
( got a loud TAP coming from them under load)
