Exclamation D21 irs

I know it has been asked a million times but I cant seem to find anyone that actually posts anything about it. I know several of you have put an s13. Rear subframe under your hardbody. Someone that has actually done it please chime in. Iíve got the truck stripped and the subframe sitting behind it ready for mock up. I just need some words of encouragement maybe some pictures of it done or some how to help. Someone😂 anyone 😂 show me your build

There are a couple guys who’ve done it. I’ve got an S13 subframe that I’ve narrowed so we can put it under my son’s truck. I’ll send off one of the half shafts to be shortened once we mock everything up and I know exactly how short it should be. Narrowing is only necessary because I’m going to bag it with some 350z wheels and it will all be too wide to tuck.

If you’re not bagging it should be too daunting of a task. Just make sure you’ve got it squared up, the pinion angle is right, then build some upper mounts for the struts.

Thanks for that info I’m glad to see there are at least a few people going through with there word on doing it haha. I’m really just trying to figure out how to fab up the front two mounting points. I think I’ve got a good idea but I’d like to see others

Just use some 3/16” or so thick plate with some gussets.

Take lots of measurements before for axle placement. then measure again.

not sure if i still have pics. i will check later
i did and IRS swap years ago using a 90-95 300zx donor

truck was bagged and body dropped. didn't shorten the IRS but I had grafted 4x4 front fenders into the bed, so when it aired out and had negative camber, everything tucked nicely.

feel free to ask any questions that you run into

go ahead and buy 2 more tape measures now, since they always get lost
