Default Where has my chain rattle gone ?

I got my 95 D21 about 2 years ago and it’s my daily back and forth to work about 15 miles a day.
First thing I do was to change my oil and filter when I got the truck. I used a NAPA Gold filter and a 5 W 30 W oil. I had some chain rattle on start up.
I just changed my oil but this time used a Nissan Filter and Havoline 5 W 30 W and my chain rattle is all but gone on a cold start.
Has anybody else experience a decreased chain rattle with a Nissan filter and why is that ?

It has a check valve in it, so oil is getting to the tensioner faster.

I had extremely bad chain rattle for a while before I even knew it was a chain rattle and it went away at some point. (recently reading on this forum it all makes sense.) The oil and filter appear to have a significant effect on the chain rattle because of a hydrolic timing chain tensioner and I guess possible sludge buildup. The napa gold filter is supposed to have a check valve in it but maybe it was bad?
