I see you posted your problem here as well. I was not aware that you were running a set of 3” and 1” blocks. I dont like running 4” solid blocks but to stack them is asking for a huge problem. I have seen the aluminum pin from the lower block shear off and needless to say the result was a ride to the local pick a part. This ride wasn’t to get more parts, it was to drop what was left for other people to pick apart. The pin shearing is not the only thing that can happen, usually you hit a bump really hard. At this point you might catch a U-bolt since they are so low and one the blocks pops out and at this point you have a good chance of having rear wheel steering with no steering wheel to control it, the hands of fate have you.

I would pull off the 1” block and see if you still have a problem. In case you don’t go back to the other thread, other things to check are the carrier bearing and U-joints.

I’m running cranked torsion’s and 4” blocks. KYB gas-a-just pinto length in the front. Gas-a-just in stock length in the rear. Rides fine for a lowered truck. Also energy suspension thin bump stops in the front.

I edited my original starting post for MUCH better clarity.

A lot of distracting information was removed, and pared down to just "what you need to know."

If you need the detailed research and testing, you can still find it at MY WEBSITE

Cheers.

Thanks for the info! I opted for 4wd shocks with drop spindles in front, quest shocks in rear, but went with drop leafs instead of blocks. Have all new arms and bushings to go in front with spindles, plus leaf spring bushings.

How did you like those 215/55/16 you posted a while back in the tire size thread? Was debating on 225/50 until I saw your truck.

I don't remember. I sold the truck 7 years ago. I know they were the cheapest I found, and were the same diameter as factory so it didn't mess up the speedo. I did have to roll the bed side fender edges though.
