Yeah, I had saw that on Amazon too. Fortunately I picked mine up for $50, used after a 4 hour drive South to West Virginia.
There is a company with many locations that restore fuel tanks, limited lifetime guarantee.

https://www.gastankrenu.com/

They coat the inside and outside of tank after they thoroughly clean it.

The local pull a part knocks holes in all gas tanks. My guess is it is an insurance requirement.

Quick question for y'all.
What tools are needed to drop the 15.9 gallon fuel tank? Just wanting to make sure I have the right stuff the first time before I lay on the cold, wet ground.

I swapped my 15 gal tank out for the 20 gal tank.

I didn't think the 20 gal tank fit in the standard cab, but I could be wrong?

I had to make my own tank mounting bracket out of some 4inch (1/8 inch) angle... That was the hardest part of the whole job was making the mount itself for me. Straps in the back the same way the 15 gal tank does. Pretty easy overall

Would have a floor jack ready, PB blaster (or Kroil equivalent), and some simple sockets.

I had my bed off too for other work and it make it a breeze.

17mm and I’d have a 19mm for sure as well. Pair of pliers to undo the hose clamps and a flat blade screw driver to remove hoses.

Thanks david29.
My current tank leaks at the seam, so I've had a replacement to put on for the longest time.

No. Just a quick way of draining the tank, properly draining the tank”Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
