I am going back to the yard I got my anchor blocks from on the 18th. They have a 86.6 v6 4wd truck. I can grab the valve if they still have it. Won't be till the 18th though if you can wait that long.

Thanks. I wasn't looking to wait that long. Just back from the parts store with one of those hand activated vacuum pumps. Will test the valve with a bit more vacuum. I don't think that lung power can create more than about 22 in.hg. That's normal manifold vacuum pressure, at which the valve should be closed.
