Default ka and vg tranys and drivelines....need help

so i know that the ka and vg tranys a not compatible unless i go thru the hassle of swapping out the front half of the trany houseings, and it seems as if the drivelines are also different correct?

would a ka 2wd driveline bolt up to a vg 2wd rear differential? im buying a 87 HB vg30i (timeing belt snapped) and im planning on swapping in the engine and tranny out of my running 95 HB ka24de. would the rear differential have to come along wiht the ka aswell or will i be ok with the vg diff.? wi my ka driveline even bolt up to the vg rear diff??

What kind of wireing hassles do u guys think i will have?. im trying to plann the transplant all out before i get the 87 back to my house and would realy like to get it all done over the weekend.

so far in my thoughts are that the wireing will be easy.. might have to swap in the newer style dash for my gauges to work but other than that ill be ok. am i right?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

You're planning on swapping your wiring harness from your 95 at the same time right? I would think all the little stuff will be the same but you will need your harness and ECU from your 95. That will make the dash swap plug & go.

im already planning on the wireing harness.. the only real problem i have is not knowing about the driveline.. i know im going to swap out the engine trany and driveling but what i dont know is if the ka 2wd driveling will bolt up to the vg 2wd differential. thats my bigggest concern at the moment.
