CVT's are still rather new, in the industry. Even Subaru is giving their CVT's 10/100k warranty, now! Originally it was 4 or 5. I don't care for it, personally...
If I had a choice, and the wife would drive it (
but mine does not) I'd go manual on the transmission. If you want reliable, manual is the way to go.
