it's done and working. Picked up a switch from Ace Hardware, 3 amp pull cord switch. Hooked it up to test it, and it worked fine. Came back home, found a piece of metal to use as a mount, mounted the switch, riveted to the light fixteure with 2 rivets, connected the wires, measured to see where the hole in the plastic cover needed to be, drilled the plastic, all done, looks good, just have to extend the pull chain so my sister can reach it.

This is the light, it is VERY bright, good for shops I bet:
