I had been running the stock frontier driveshaft with the rear pathfinder flange, which worked fine, but was about 1/2" too short. it put some strain on the carrier bearing, as it pulled it rearward.

so, while i had things apart, I took it to Drivelines Inc. in Mission Viejo. Wade, the owner, had a stub/slip assembly installed and balanced OVER NIGHT !! fastest working automotive shop i've ever seen! highly recommend.

Now the driveshaft has about 3" of extension/contraction with no strain on the carrier.
