just did this today. mine didnt look that great but it was still solid and held and was not done by me either... a local shop did it but they did a good job.
cant wait to get some welding skills....

thanks for the replies
i got it done finally, it was welded and turned out fine after all. drives so much better.
he welded it with a heavy cup looking washer and it looks good and sturdy.
truck just runs...
