Gasket changing is extremely critical on aluminum pans....like mercedes, honda and BMW. Correct torque is critical as well.

If you want to do it once and do it right, use a new compressor or a known good one. Always buy a new drier. Those aee like 15 bucks. I bought my drier off ebay.

I just get replacements from the big parts stores. I don’t use a crush gasket, I use one of the metal ringed rubber gaskets. They are sometimes called a viton gasket.

yup. bypassing that switch makes the system think it is full. the real way is to connect a set of ac manifold gauges to the ac system. but for a few seconds, it wont hurt.
