The camshaft bearing caps are the surface the camshaft rides on inside the cylinder head. Kind like the main crankshaft bearings in the engine block, just smaller. The shafts sit on top of the...

You shouldn't have to mess with the cam gear at all. You will, however, have to unbolt the cam bearing caps to get the rocker arms out. No biggie, just keep them in the same order front to back and...

That thing looks pretty nice, congratulations. I think bad gas mileage is just part of owning one of these things. My 1994 pathfinder gets around 16mpg, but I don't drive it enough for that to...

The tach signal comes from the ignition coil. The connector for it should already be there, behind the instrument cluster. Even if you can't find a stock 4cyl cluster with a tach it's only a few...

Good call, I have auto hubs so I didn't even think about that. On mine I was able to get the hubs to engage by grabbing the CV axle behind the knuckle and spinning them. Once they were engaged I just...

It's a good sign that the old fluid still has some color to it. Heat is probably the #1 killer of automatic transmissions and will darken the fluid pretty quickly once it starts. Case in point...I...

Hi Everyone,

Since my oil pan is still leaking and I have to do this job a second time I thought I would make a write-up for this job since I don’t think we have one yet.
