Which ones are you having trouble with? The one on the bottom where it bolts to the control arm or the stud and nut on the top?

That was a fun trip. About a month later I went camping with a couple buddies and one of them brought his .22, fitted with a scope. I actually missed way more shots using a scope than the old...

I know at this point I've spent more on parts/gas/insurance than I paid for the truck. Still, every time something breaks and needs to be replaced I'm reminded in the grand scheme of things that...

Have a look at this thread. There's a known bad spot in the wiring harness that powers the injectors. Basically what happens is the crimp connectors go bad and the injectors stop getting full...

Same here. I just make sure to pump up the brakes BEFORE embarking on the test drive. Usually I'll re-check the torque on the lug nuts the next day.

Not quite. You'll need to use the distributor and timing cover from the 97. They made a few small changes for OBD2 in the 96 and 97 trucks.

For what it's worth I'm pretty sure the 4cyl and 6cyl trucks use the exact same fuel pump.

Yeah, speed perks is pretty neat. I just signed up myself, since there's an advance nearby. There wasn't one where I used to live. I've been buying a lot of gearwrench tools there, since they're...

I had a similar noise accompanied by a death wobble on the driver's side shortly after re-doing the front end. Turns out I didn't tighten the spindle nut down enough, or maybe I did and the bearings...

It looks like almost all of the pumps on advance's website are also for Japan-built trucks. Kinda weird since I haven't seen one newer than '89 or so that was built in Japan.

You may have better...

No idea if mine works or not. I don't trust the gauge below 1/4 tank anyways. If you're trying to save a few bucks you can replace just the actual pump itself.

Funny you bring that up. I run at almost exactly 2000 RPM at 55mph in 5th gear, running 205 70R14 tires. HF35 with the 4 cylinder. I have driven a couple v6 trucks and they're geared a lot lower.
