The covers aren't hard remove. I removed my covers and ran them through the washing machine. Let them air dry for fear of shrinking. Put covers back on and hog ring in place.

I took a dremal tool and cut a enough of a slot to get them out. Then cut the slot longer and a little deeper. Put some blue loctite on the bolts and put them back in. No more movement. Thanks

loose ignition switch collar

How do you tighten up the ignition switch collar? Mine moves back and forth when you insert the key. Looking under the collar it looks like some sort of pin and not a nut. Thanks

I think I read the chart wrong. Ignition switch 21 code is for 86 z24. The other tab has '87-'89 z24,v6. code 21 on that tab says "ignition signal missing in primary coil". The coils are pretty new....

I just checked the codes. Got a 21 which says ignition switch. The keyed ignition switch was getting tough to turn and I sprayed some lube into the key hole. I wonder if I created my own problem?

I believe I found the part # on nissanpartsdeal. I put in my VIN# and found the two fusible links. One part# is definitely 24022-01G05. The second part # is 24022-05E00. We'll see. I'm going to order...
