300lbs isnt a whole lot for these little trucks. Your manual will say 1000lbs in the bed.

Street or dirt? Dirt bikes are generally much lighter. I have and wouldn't hesitate to strap a couple dirt bikes in the truck with the little hooks.



You could always reinforce from the bottom...

Paid $3400 for my 86.5 about 10 years ago but it also had 86k miles on it. I would not push you to a 96-97 because your only option for those years is a 4cyl....

The snow just needs a heavy foot to slide around in. I use my hand brake in the dry dirt mostly to instigate a slide. It also super handy when wheeling and starting/stopping one weird not flat stuff.
