Well, it basically depends on exactly HOW it’s been lowered. It could just require removing the lowering blocks and adjusting the torsion bars back up. It could also need much, much more than that.

The illumination wires come from the dimmer. Typically an aftermarket radio has a ground wire that you just screw into the metal frame where the radio will mount.

I can’t help you on the sizing of the Ford fitting but the hardbody fitting is 10mm. You should be able to find an adapter at the local parts store.

Assuming the only issue with the 97 is the motor I’d just swap the motor from the 90 into the 97. Retain the timing cover, distributor, and intake manifold from the 97 to install on the the 90 engine.

If you can get it to reach another bolt on the cylinder head it would be a good place. It could contribute to a rough idle, but it’s not the most likely cause.
