You will be fine, the problem with high wattage bulbs, I was running 60/100, is the headlight plug starts to melt. I upgraded to a Hella plug and never had a problem, I also ran my H4's off a relay...

not sure of the model number, wire is 4 gauge,,...

Run a new constant wire to a fuse, or just to test, run the constant from the radio to the battery than program stations and shut the truck off, make sure it's a wiring issue and not a radio issue.
