Do it while engine and trans is hot. the aluminum casing will expand and make it easier to pull out. Or just use a small propane tank to heat up the case around the VSS.

I believe the original rear tank bracket will...

I believe the original rear tank bracket will work. Its the same size as the 15.9 gallon tank. The tank actually is longer from the seam to the bottom and its longer.

Where I got mine as well. Pony up the extra $60 for the mass backing. I wish I had when I ordered mine. But I ended up doing Lizard Skin instead.
