It's a similar situation where I live. Fireworks are technically banned here but there are several stands around town. I guess it's only illegal to set them off, not to buy or have them in your...

Haha, that's fair. I can't imagine that's a fun job on a AWD audi. I know the TDI guys do it, although those don't really make enough power to destroy anything. My old boss has a Jetta TDI station...

I'm excited to see this. I know it's a common mod within the VW/Audi community but I don't have much experience with those beyond a few mk4 cars. The furthest I've torn into one is replacing the head...

I just used regular old 75W-90 gear oil in mine. No need to buy the expensive stuff, there aren't any soft parts in there that would be ruined by using a GL-5 oil. There is no drain plug, but you can...

Gearing up for another weekend of wrenching on my new ride. A couple weekends ago I replaced the leaking steering rack (common issue on these vans) and changed the fluid in the transmission while I...

I had a strange issue where mine would clunk going from reverse to 1st. It was most noticeable on a hill and I'd actually feel it when I would press the clutch in. It ended up being that the bolts...

Right on. Good job man. That first start afterwards is always nerve wracking.

It's crazy the difference the final drive ratio makes. I'm noticing that with my cars. The van runs at about 2500RPM...

I would bet that the previous owner probably didn't rip the harness apart to replace the entire cable. I'd get the positive cable with a few feet to play with and follow the one on your xterra down...

Having diagnosed an older truck with one, that engine was never meant to go into a van.

This El Camino had one. He mated it to a T5 and modded a driveshaft to make it work.

It's weird. For...

The 4.6/5.4 ones aren't so bad. They didn't get all the fancy gimmicks the trucks did. FWIW I'd rather work on one of those than one of their trucks.

I would totally rock a buick land lacht. They...

Hahahaha. Well, you're not wrong. The great irony of it is that there is plenty of space to bump uglies back there. And it even has dark tinted windows. I don't think I've ever owned a car that had...

I'd take one of the valve cover bolts and measure the diameter of the bolt head (the flanged part, not the 10mm head) and see if it would even be possible to get it out through the oil drain hole....
