You’ll probably have to look under the hood and rev the engine while you look to see if you can track it down. If it sounds like it’s coming from the engine it could be the timing chain.

Well, the increase in resistance when it is colder follows along with the way it should be. So that’s an indication it may be good. Did you check for voltage on the connector?

If it takes a long time to reach operating temperature your thermostat is probably stuck open. I would only use a genuine Nissan thermostat. I’ve had bad luck with aftermarket thermostats.

As far as the aluminum, really you have 2 choices. Rebuild it, or let it ride and hope for the best. I’d let it ride and change the oil on some short intervals a couple of times.

Stalling when it warms up makes me think about the coolant temperature sensor. Especially when combined with excess fuel. Pull the codes on your computer to see if it is flagging anything.
