the position of the cam is normally with respect to the surface of the valve cover or cylinder deck. so if the motor leans. it will look off center compared to 12 off the ground

anyone have a ballpark of how much a factory hood weighs? im going to buy some gas springs for it. more convenient than the hood prop and i like them.

for stem seals i prefer OEM but thats just me. make sure you lap the valves back in if you do this with the head(s) off the motor.
